Most excellent as I anticipate starting my Constitution once I get my Rattlesnake done. Needless to say I will clone a number of your ideas on my Constitution build.
I submitted my Siren at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum model competition (Midwest Modelers) two years ago and it went over very well.
Modelers had brought in never started kits as donations to the museum ( that they had never built = too big a project for some of our older members) and I purchased the Royal Caroline 1749 for $200 and the USS Constitution Old Ironsides 1797 1:93 scale for $120.
The Constitution KIT is a e.moli (Okd Manoli) Italian kit. It is a very old (no laser) model
Again my next project once I finish the Rattlesnake will be that e.moli Constitution Kit.
I have enjoyed your build very much since I am also building the Mamoli Constitution kit. You skill and precision are an inspiration to me. Added to that are your equally impressive photography work. When I need clarification to the sometimes confusing Mamoli plans, I enlarge and study your photographs often. I also appreciate your responses when I have been stumped during my build. Congratulations on finishing your ship!
Thanks Bruce. If I can be of any assistance just PM me. But my experience is only one kit build so I am just a beginner as far as wooden ships go. John

Hi John,
a nice picture and a bautifull model you have made. It’s Museum worthy. Now up to the next Canon 🙂

Yeah, it appealed to me too, even though I am in my workshop scruffies, uncombed hair, and winter pullover. john

A masterpiece.
Now you’ll have to build a case to keep the inevitable dust off.

Thankyou, but it is not a masterpiece, just OK for a first ship build.
