WordPress has increased their annual fees by another 30%. under the guise of a “domain name” fee.
Sorry guys and gals, but I am not wearing it.
Thankyou for following. And a big thank you for those who have commented or liked my posts.
But I am not forking out another 30% per year, on top of a similar increase a year or so ago. They are just, fucking, greedy. too expensive.

p.s. when the Trevithick dredger engine is running on steam I will post a video on YouTube and maybe Facebook.

no im not having it, years to find the actual best thing on the internet. the most intertesting , informative and entertaining content. John I dunno what to say other than stay. i know they are bastards but think of the children! wtf am I going to look forward to? A sad sad day… what about using wix or another free site builder other than wordpress , ah gowan!

I understand your decision, but maybe we can set up a fund so you can keep the blog up and running.
give your PAYPAL account, or create one, then I make a direct contribution.
This is one of things where the Internet is build for, contact around the world and look at the great thinks people make.
and perhaps there is a cheaper way to create a blog.\

I understand your decision but I think it’s a pity, the internet is meant to get in touch with people all over the world, and who also make beautiful things.
Can’t you set up a fund? Give your PayPal account, or create one and I’ll donate immediately to keep your blog up and running. And I think many will respond with me. If not then you know that the blog does not interest anyone.

Thanks Richard. I believe that the old posts can be viewed after my subscription ends at wordpress.johnsmachines.com I cannot transfer the old posts. Am considering various options, and will continue with WordPress until the subscription ends in Feb 2019. John
